Direct Domains Proves Domain For Sale Landing Pages Don’t Need To Be Boring
Earlier today I landed on a domain for sale page for Empties.net. The landing page was definitely designed with the end-user in mind. It was the most creative landing page that I have ever come across and even though I am not an end-user, I found myself being drawn in. Normally when I see a domain for sale page, I’ll either close that tab in my browser or quickly enter another website to visit.
I’m not sure how well Direct Domains is doing with this type of landing page, but they get an A+ for creativity. The landing page triggered me to visit the main page of the site. I immediately wanted to find out more information about Direct Domains and visit more of the domains they had in their portfolio. The visual images are pleasing to the eye and the entire site is well structured. Hats off to Direct Domains for taking a traditional domain for sale landing page and making it much more than that.

DirectDomains is no stranger to the domain marketing arena.
You probably heard of their parent company – Name Media
AKA Buy Domains and Afternic.
WBT,
They certainly are not. I am really impressed with the attention to detail shown on their parking pages. It was a great idea for them to put the end-user first by creating landing pages which immediately grab a visitor’s attention.
Although I didn’t check the whois, I figured they were owned by Name Media when all of the domain check out pages forwarded you to checkout.buydomains.com. Thanks for the comment and nice idea for a site. Can’t go wrong with buying the .com.
Came across a similar styled landing for sale page today: http://example.com.au/
James, thanks for providing that link. I really like how they are utilizing a video on their domain for sale landing page. The video made me stay even longer on the page. I could see how the video might even be the convincing factor on whether someone moves forward with a domain purchase. Great example and thanks for the comment!
